Baby Shower Thank You Poems - Special Gifts From Your Heart

Where are the cutest baby shower thank you poems? Don't you know the best thank you poems lie somewhere deep in your imagination?

Yes, you, even you can write baby shower poems for the guests - the greatest gift to thank for their coming for the arrival of the little one!

And be relax, don't' be surprise, that writing a thank you poem isn't that hard.

You can write a poem to express your appreciation to the guests for the delicious food and punch they brought to the party, for their creativity in participating the games, for their sentimental messages written on the scrapbook, for their help to co-host such a time-consuming party to pamper the parents-to-be.

At least, each guest has done something special for the baby shower and for you, the shower host. So why not use the baby shower itself to be the main topic of your baby shower thank you poems?

Well, since most of the shower hosts are running everything in hurry, to save time, my suggestion is: Seek out some good written thank you poems from internet (of course you must like them first), or you could take a few more time searching through your local libraries and book stores.

Then replace some sentences according to what you want to say, and use them as the verse for your printable baby shower thank you cards.

Anyway, I found there are many cute baby shower poems during my voyages in cyberspace. Whenever I need write a new poem, I just a little of my creativities, a very personal poetry to say thank you is right there!

Since baby thank you poems are usually attached to a shower favor for the guests to take home with them, why don't add something related to the baby shower theme?

One of the cutest baby shower ideas is to let the baby "thank" the guests - thought the little one is still on the way, the party is just for him(her)! And who can't be touched by a lovely baby's voice?

And before cut the special yummy shaped baby shower cakes, add some cute baby shower thank you verses, as the cake inscription, onto the cake to create lots of tears and joys.

How about write with "I want to be a bright child, as smart as I can be. From your favorite storybook, please sign your name for a baby books' shower. Or even write part of your baby poems in backward for a winnie the pooh baby shower. The ideas are endless!

How ever your ideas could be, remember this: baby shower thank you poems are very personal expressions to communicate. Just make a point that you can touch guests' heart in an emotional way.

If you want to have some unique twist on the long tradition, here are array of modern baby shower thank you cards ranging from cute animals to airplanes, baby faces, monograms and more.

Qing and Cindy have also create a cool online community for web savvy Shower hostess to share their baby shower party ideas and photos so that Shower beginners can get inspired from these original party ideas.

Baby Shower - Baby Word Making Game

Supplies:

You can make your own cards or download free printable cards at Moms Break. Both are described below.

You can make your own cards by cutting playing-card-sized rectangles out of heavy weight craft paper and then writing letters and numbers on each card. Decorate the cards with baby shower stickers.

Or get free baby shower cards for this game at Moms Break baby shower free printables. A zip file with sheets containing A – Z and 0 – 9 can be downloaded free at http://babyshower.momsbreak.com/card-game.html. Each sheet has four letters or numbers on different colored baby rattles. After downloading the zip file containing the card sheets, print the baby shower card sheets and then cut the cards along the dotted line around each card as a guide. Each card is the same size. These cards can be printed on standard 8.5 x 11 computer paper, but heavy weight computer craft paper in white or different colors is suggested.

How to Play:

Make or print and cut out at least one full sets of letters and numbers (two or three sets is recommended).

Shuffle the cards and stack upside down.

Have the Mommy-to-be pass out an equal number of cards to each guest.

Then have the guest see how many baby-related words they can make out of their letters.

To add fun to the game and allow the guest to make more words, allow the guests to trade cards.

* In the Moms Break card set there is a wild card sheet of cards containing only baby shower images: bottle, rattle, pin and feet ink blots. In this game these can be use to substitute any letter.

Who ever makes the most words wins.

Baby Development Stages What You Can Expect As Your Newborn Baby Turns Toddler

These days many parents have not had a lot of experience with babies until their first baby comes along. If you are one of these parents you will probably find you have many questions about this new person who has come into your life and who is so small and helpless. It can be overwhelming and scary when you realize your baby is so dependent on you for everything, especially if you feel you don’t know a lot about babies. Understanding what babies are like may help to make it easier to care for your baby.

Birth to 4 months

At this time babies are adjusting to life in the world. Most of each day will be spent sleeping but with increasing periods of time awake. Babies are totally dependent on you for their basic needs. As babies grow and spend more time awake they become more alert to what is happening around them. At this stage, crying is a normal and natural way that babies communicate their needs.

Between birth and 4 months your baby is learning to:
• Focus for longer periods
• Observe surroundings and follow a person or object with their eyes
• Enjoy close visual and verbal stimulation
• Recognize and turn head to familiar voices
• Coo and make sounds
• Watch and clasp hands
• Play with fingers and bring hands to mouth
• Hit dangling objects with hands or feet
• Hold head up when lying on tummy
• Show pleasure by wriggling body and smiling
• Respond to sound that are louder than normal

4 to 8 months

Babies are now becoming their own person. They are very excited about the world. Everything they see is of interest and they are developing curiosity about their surroundings. At this time babies like to be in places they know with people they know.

Between 4 months and 8 months your baby is learning to:
• Recognize name by turning when name is spoken
• Roll over
• Bring hands together to play and grasp
• Bring objects to mouth to explore
• Transfer objects from one hand to the other
• Lift head and chest using forearms for support
• Prop on one hand or elbow while reaching for a toy with the other
• Pull feet to mouth
• Sit without support
• Show the need for attention and affection
• Mix different sounds, squeal and laugh
• Listen with interest and turn head to loud sounds
• Be aware of being separated from mother or father
• Cope with the introduction of pureed food, moving on to more lumpy textures.

8 to 12 months

Babies are becoming more excited and intensely curious about the world as they become more independently mobile. They are now on the move and are getting into everything, but will keep an eye on the people around them. They like to have mother/carer close by.

Between 8 months and 12 months your baby is learning to:
• Point, gesture and make sounds to indicate what they want and need
• Show anger by stiffening body and screaming
• Jabber and babble expressively
• Uses voices to attract attention
• Enjoy simple and repetitive games
• Repeat actions and sounds that they enjoy making
• Crawl
• Pull up onto furniture and cruise around the furniture
• Stand briefly by themselves
• Pick up small objects with thumb and index finger
• Intentionally drop objects to have them picked up
• Show anxiety around unfamiliar people
• Eat food with fingers
• Watch an adult walking across the room
• Look for objects hidden from view
• Turn head to sounds that are at the side or below

9 months old

Babies between 7–12 months are learning to crawl, climb, stand, cruise and eventually walk. They are learning sounds and are learning that they are separate people from their parents. Babies are beginning to relate differently to their main caregiver.

Mobility
Babies between 7-12 months are learning to crawl, climb, stand, cruise and eventually walk. It is during this time, if not before, that the house needs to be made safe for a little explorer. All precious and dangerous objects need to be removed.

• Babies at this stage are intensely curious
• They are developing their fine motor skills and will reach for very small objects
• They enjoy experiencing a variety of shapes, textures, colors and sounds
• Everything of interest is banged, felt, tasted and thrown
• They need room to move in a supervised, safe environment

12 to 18 months

Children are now walking and pleased to be out with the big kids, but they still need constant care and attention. Seemingly independent, they venture out alone, but keep an eye on those around them. They can watch, listen and take part in the social life of the family, and be an active listener.

Between 12 to 18 months your child is learning to:
• Use words e.g. “mum”, “dad”, “ball”, “water”, “more”
• Shake and nod their head for “yes” and “no”
• Use long strings of sounds that often sound like another language
• Understand more and more words and can follow simple directions e.g. “get your bottle”, “show me your nose”
• Move and dance to music
• Walk alone with wobbly steps
• Push and pull large toys
• Walk upstairs holding a hand or rail
• Climb
• Be more assertive and independent
• Enjoy banging and stacking blocks and putting thins into containers
• Be very curious and into everything
• Constantly look for new activities although attention span can be short
• Stop and pick up object they have dropped
• Turn head to sounds that are above or below

Growing and learning in the family

The first and most important learning in a child's life happens within the family. Children learn from the way people treat them and from what they see, hear and experience as soon as they are born. Children are natural learners. Between birth and five years, and especially to three years, children grow and learn at the fastest rate of their lifetime. It is easy to see the enormous opportunity parents, and those who care for children, have in these early years to help shape children's learning before they start school.

9 Tips to Improve Your Bedroom Environment and Help you Sleep Like a Baby

The goal of this article is to help you find the ideal sleep conditions for you personal preferences. You may have to experiment and try a variety of techniques to find what works best for you.

It is important to create a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere in your bedroom. Your objective is to be highly relaxed and a calming, cool environment with plenty of oxygen will help you feel this way.

Ideally your room should be on the cooler side; but its up to you to experiment with a range of conditions. You don't want to wake during the night either too hot or too cold and then find yourself wide awake once again. Sleep experts say that the ideal room temperature is 65 to 70 degrees F.

You should try and sleep with the window open. It is important that you have a constant fresh supply of circulating air which will help you breathe deeply and sleep soundly.

If you find that you're woken by noises outside your bedroom, you should consider buying ear plugs – they take a little while to get used to but there are ear plugs that have been designed to be comfortable and unobtrusive, which won't disturb your sleep.

If you can't bear the thought of ear plugs you may want to use a "white noise" machine, such as a fan. The "white noise" will mask other noises that you’re not used that wake you in the middle of the night.

Your circadian rhythm tells your body to wake up in the sunshine and go to sleep in the dark. Therefore you should endeavor to make your bedroom as dark as possible. You can do this by hanging thick, dark curtains. Or you may try buying a comfortable eye mask.

Do you find yourself listening to the irritating sound of a ticking clock? If so you should consider replacing it with a digital clock. Also you shouldn't keep looking at the clock to see how many hours you have to sleep will only increase your anxiety and stress about not sleeping.

You should avoid having television, computer and stereo equipment in your bedroom. Furthermore you should only use your CD Player to play soothing music that will help you feel relaxed and fall asleep.

If your room is too dry you may want to purchase a humidifier, especially in the winter months.

And lastly, it's important that you wear loose, comfortable clothing...
